Red Bull New York, also known as the Red Bulls, is another original MLS franchise, founded in 1994 as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars and renamed after Red Bull bought the team in 2006. The club has been a cellar dweller for the majority of its existence, only appearing in one championship match, the 2003 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final, which was a loss. The club is still one of the worst in the league, but is lead with talent like striker Juan Pablo Angel and midfielder Jorge Rojas. They have seen many star players come and go, such as keeper Tony Meola, striker Jozy Altidore, midfielder Claudio Reyna, midfielder Jaime Moreno, and keeper Tim Howard.
They have played at the 60,000+ seat Giants Stadium every year they have played in the MLS and will continue to play there until their new home, Red Bull Arena, opens in 2009 in nearby Harrison, New Jersey. Despite their struggles, Red Bulls tickets are very hard to attain. Get your tickets to watch the Red Bulls at the Meadowlands here at yaytickets.com.
