The Kansas City Wizards were one of the original MLS teams and started play in 1995 as the Kansas City Wiz. Renamed the Wizards in 1997, the club has had some moments of success, most of which coming in the 21st century. They won their lone MLS Cup title in 2000, won the Supporters' Shield the same year, and added a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup victory in 2004. The Wizards played at Arrowhead Stadium until 2008 and then decided to move to the 10,000+ seat CommunityAmerica Ballpark until their soccer-specific stadium is completed.
The Wizards are currently led by captain Jimmy Conrad and striker Jorge Trujillo, and in their history have seen the likes of Alexei Lalas, Eddie Johnson, Preki, Chris Klein, and Tony Meola suit up in Wizard blue. Due to the small capacity, tickets are a hot commodity, so be sure to get yours here at yaytickets.com.
