Houston Dynamo has taken its place as the most dominant team in Major League Soccer. The team started out as an original franchise in San Jose, first as the Clash and then as the Earthquakes. They moved to Houston in 2005 and were originally supposed to be named Houston 1836 until protestors shot it down, and the Dynamo name was then decided on. Since moving to Houston, the club has reigned supreme over Major League Soccer, winning back to back MLS Cups in 2006 and 2007. They were runners-up in the 2008 Pan-Pacific Championship and the 2008 North American SuperLiga.
The club currently plays at the University of Houston's Robertson Stadium and it is one of the hardest tickets to get in all of Major League Soccer, due to supporter groups like the Texian Army. They are looking into building a new stadium in downtown Houston that would be ready by 2010. The club is currently led by a few of MLS' best players, such as Dwayne De Rosario, Brian Ching, Wade Barrett, and Stuart Holden. Again, tickets to Dynamo matches are very difficult to get, so be sure to get yours here at yaytickets.com.
