Bolton Wanderers FC is an English Premier League football club based in Horwich, Greater Manchester, England. Bolton was established in 1874 and was one of the founding members of the Football League and were a successful cup side in the 1920's.

They suffered a drought in the 1980's in which they didn't play a single season in top flight football, and didn't return until 1995. Their current stint in the Premier League started in 2001. Bolton is also known for spending the most seasons in top flight English Football (69) without winning a championship. Despite never winning a top tier championship, Bolton has had success elsewhere. They have won 4 FA Cups in their history (1923, 1926, 1929, 1958), a Charity Shield (1958), and an astounding 11 Lancashire Cups (1886, 1891, 1912, 1922, 1925, 1927, 1932, 1934, 1948, 1988, 1990).

Bolton currently plays their home matches at Reebok Stadium, located in Horwich. The stadium was opened in 1997 and seats just over 28,000 fans each match.
